Have you ever dangled your feet over the end of the universe?
Sitting on the edge of a black asphalt road, diamond-studded blackness below you, diamond-studded blackness above. Yawning darkness, big enough to swallow all your despair, all your dread and your anxiety, all your hunger and regrets. And boy, is there enough despair, dread, and anxiety, enough hunger and regrets to feed this entire infinity of nothingness.
And you become so light you could waltz on cobwebs and tread on mountain fog. So light you could ride an airborne dandelion pappus. An empty bubble of bliss, you slide off the jagged end of the road.
You drift off into the blackness and fade away to become one more speck of phantom light in the endless fabric of unreality.
And sinking into your soft sheets of black æther, the last thought to brush against the smoothness of your inner skull is: "I'm free".
